Etymology[edit]

Blend of Ukraine +‎ copium (a delusion meant to help someone cope with a loss), influenced by Russian укро́п (ukróp), a slur towards Ukrainians.

Ukropium (uncountable)

  1. (Internet slang, offensive, derogatory) A form of wishful thinking in which Ukraine is expected to prevail against Russia in the Russo-Ukrainian war.
    2 months later, no real panic with the first challenger being deleted. We can see that folks are just huffing tons of ukropium to keep their pretend reality from imploding
    They are all saying TIME is in Russia’s payroll now! That’s some serious hyper-Ukropium right there!
