Concorde?

As I try to organise the different slang terms used in relation to the Jamaican dollar, I find myself unable to understand the meaning of "Concorde," which I saw @Dentonius add as a related term under either "Nanny" or "Manley." Could someone (preferably Dentonius as we seem to be the most involved here) explain what this means? -- SisyphusOfTheMoors (talk) 21:17, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

@SisyphusOfTheMoors. Wah gwaan, bredren? We used to call the J$100 Concorde before people started calling it bills. I was young when they called it Concorde. It might be because there was a faint image of a Concorde on the note with Donald Sangster (J$100). I might be conflating memories so I won't say that I'm sure. Another possibility is that the money got spent really fast. There's an article in the Gleaner which mistakenly says it was J$1,000. It's not. The commenters pointed out the mistake at the bottom of the article. As we know, J$1,000 is the Manley. @Dentonius Will do. Earlier today, I thought the idea of creating a template of the different slang terms for banknotes and coins (silva) of the Jamaican dollar that would appear on the page of each applicable term, sort of like the conjugation tables you see on German entries. Perhaps we could also do something similar to this for all the Patwa pronouns. Any thoughts on this?
