Blend of accountability +‎ buddy, coined in the animated TV show South Park episode broadcast March 14, 2007.

accountabilibuddy (plural accountabilibuddies)

  1. (informal) A person who agrees to hold a person accountable for persisting in an endeavor such as maintaining sobriety, diet, or exercise.
