Affixed *yayasa +‎ -an, partial reduplication of *yasa (modern form jasa). From Javanese ꦪꦪꦱꦤ꧀ (yayasan, foundation), ꦪꦱ (yasa, building), from Old Javanese yaśa (building, literally honour, glory, deed), from Sanskrit यशस् (yaśas, glory, honour, splendor).
