Etymology
From Proto-Turkic *čekn (“part of shoulder between the neck and shoulderblade”). Cognate with Turkish çiyin, dialectal Turkish çekin, Turkmen çigin; possibly cognate with Chuvash ҫан (śan, “body”)[1].
