Etymology

According to Beekes, this word along with θαῦμα (thaûma, wonder, marvel), θώψ (thṓps, flatterer, false friend), τάφος (táphos, amazement) and τέθητα (téthēta, to be astonished) forms a Lua error in Module:parameters at line 360: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "pregrc" is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF. group. This group is further isolated and thus not related to Middle English dabben (to strike).
