- Yā [ࢬ] is an additional letter of the Arabic alphabet used in the writing of Rohingya.
Usage notes
In Rohingya written with the Arabic alphabet, [ࢬ] is always preceded and connected to a consonant and is not used in isolated or initial position. It is transcribed with the diacritical consonant ya medial [◌ ျ] in Burmese writing.
