Etymology

In ancient classical sources, it is usually referred to as Phasis. Pliny and Procopius refer to it as Roan and Reon respectively. The hydronym has variously been derived from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Svan, (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "ira" is not valid.
