Inherited from Old East Slavic ꙗ́блонь (jáblonĭ), from Proto-Slavic *àblonь, from Proto-Balto-Slavic *āˀbōlnis, from Proto-Indo-European *h₂ebōl-n-is, from *h₂ébōl.[1][2]
