Etymology

A connection with σήπω (sḗpō, to rot) is semantically possible but formally problematic. However, it may be more likely that the word is of Lua error in Module:parameters at line 360: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "pregrc" is not valid.
