From Sanskrit घण्टा (ghaṇṭā, bell) पथ (patha, way, road, path, course, route) +‎ -ము (-mu).

ఘంటాపథము (ghaṇṭāpathamu? (plural ఘంటాపథములు)

  1. The king's highway; so called because resounding with elephants' bells.
