Pronunciation
Etymology 1
From Lua error in Module:parameters at line 360: Parameter 2 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "fiu-fin-pro" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E., possibly originally an instructive plural of Lua error in Module:parameters at line 360: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "fiu-fin-pro" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E. (in some dialects, vihdoin is attested with the meaning "once"; some Finnic cognates have different meanings, such as Veps vihtoi (“long ago”)). This could then be cognate with Proto-Samic *vëstē (whence Northern Sami fas (“again, once more”)), suggesting an earlier form *višta, which has been suggested to be a borrowing from Proto-Indo-European *wiH-to.[1]
