Hulle behoort aan die Afrotheria en is gevolglik nie naverwant aan knaagdiere, wat tot die Euarchontoglires behoort nie.
English: A Dassie (P. capensis) inspecting food left by tourists. The Dassie is a terrestrial herbivore of the Afrotropics and Middle East, found among rocky outcrops. They belong to the Afrotheria, and are consequently not closely related to rodents which belong to the Euarchontoglires. |
