Summary

Description
English: Housebarn in Emmet, Wisconsin, a few miles north of Watertown. Built ca. 1850 for Friedrich Kliese, an immigrant from Silesia, it is now owned by the Langholff family. Featuring a "schwarze Küche" ("black kitchen" or smokehouse), it is Wisconsin's only half-timbered structure built by German immigrants that accommodates both a barn and a residence under one roof.
