Summary

Description

This picture shows the microstructure of a thin zinc oxide (ZnO) layer, deposited on quartz, observed using SEM. It was made in 2001, in the cellar of the former university building “Gele Scheikunde” at Rotterdamseweg 136, as part of a project for my Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering at Delft University of Technology.

By the way, one of my ZnO samples was also subjected to X-ray diffraction. You can find the X-ray diffraction pattern here. I can’t tell anymore if it was the very same sample.
