Old Shoreham, situated to the north of the tow of the same name, is a picturesque little village on the banks of the creek which forms Shoreham harbour. Here there is a fine old Norman church of cruciform construction, with a north chapel. Noteworthy features are the rich doorways and the mouldings of the crossing arches; the chancel roof is apparently Early English.
