English: This map shows the location of the Upper Xingu region (blue dot) in the South American continent. The Upper Xingu is home to numerous indigenous groups, including the Wauja (Waurá), who speak an Arawakan language. I, Emi-Ireland, created the image using NASA Blue Marble imagery for the satellite image, and Photoshop to add the marker identifying the Upper Xingu.
