Irish
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Uncertain. Appears to mean “son of Cába”, but Cába is not an Irish given name. It could be from cába (“cape, hood”) used as a nickname[1] or an alteration of Mac Aba (literally “son of the abbot”).[2]
