[edit]From 𐎠𐎼𐎫 (a-r-t /r̥taʰ/, “Asha; truth”) + *pānah (“protection”). Cognate with Parthian 𐭀𐭓𐭕𐭐𐭍 (ʾrtpn /Artapān/).[1][2]
