Usage

This template may be used in "References" and "Further reading" sections, and on talk pages, to cite the Digitalisierte Zettelarchiv des “Wörterbuches der ägyptischen Sprache” (Digitalized Slip Archive of the Wörterbuch der ägyptischen Sprache, DZA). These are the materials and citations that were used to compile the Wörterbuch, about 1.2 million slips of paper, in digitalized form; see {{R:egy:Wb}} for citing the Wörterbuch itself. Logging in to the Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae may be required to see individual slip pages linked from this template.

Material from the DZA should never be directly quoted beyond short phrases, as the DZA’s copyright expressly forbids commercial use, making it incompatible with Wiktionary’s license. It can, however, be cited as a reference.

Basic usage is

Parameters

Mandatory. The eight-digit slip number of the slip being cited. It should have the format xx.xxx.xxx, with each x one digit. Do not include the word DZA at the beginning.
