Any reason this is dated by the publication date of this edition? I assume it should be dated 1751, since there were no substantial changes even in the 4 editions published in Smollett's lifetime. Ƿidsiþ 13:18, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Widsith: well, if you are sure there were no substantial changes we can add the original publication year. I have no idea as the 1st (1751) edition is not available online. — SGconlaw (talk) 18:01, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have a print edition which gives differences in the 1st-4th editions (there aren't many), after which the text didn't change. So latest it should be is 1769. But I'm going to put 1751 as 99+% of the text is as the original edition. Ƿidsiþ 19:33, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
