Iranian vocalisation

[edit]

@Sameerhameedy: Great work!

How hard would it be generate the Iranian vocalisation (even when it's slightly different or the same)?

I'd like to also promote the use of vocalisation of the Iranian form.

Iranian Persian example from an online text:

Every day, a person begged in the market and people laughed at his stupidity.

@Atitarev I'll look into that but that seems very difficult. I'm basing this off of (earlier versions of) template:zh-l, which can display the simplified form if provided but uses the traditional form for the transliteration. That won't work here but I made the field "ir=" to override the Iranian translit, I think I can make that display the Iranian vocalization too? Hold on I'll try to get that to work.
@Sameerhameedy: Thank you! I hope it's not demotivatingly difficult!
Please take a look at the implementation of {{zh-x}}, which takes the variety (Mandarin, Cantonese, etc.) as a parameter and transliterates accordingly. Perhaps, a switch could turn Classical Persian into Iranian or Dari? Both the vocalisation and transliteration (with one input). Good luck, sorry, I can't help technically. --Anatoli T. @Atitarev there is no reason to show both Dari and classical, imo. But I'll try to add the ability to switch out classical for Dari.
@Atitarev the template is fully functional so I moved it to main space. A similar template would need to be made to work for quotes and such... but that would only work for texts from classical Persian. Showing a classical translit for Iranian terms might be weird.
do you think it's a good idea to start implementing this yet?
wait I didn't read your comment correctly. But I can try to make a module that automatically creates the Iranian vocalization. and add it in.
