From Old Norse drekka. Due to apocope, the final vowel is shortened while writing.

1. (dialectal, Trøndelag, Northern Norway) alternative form of drikke (“to drink”) (In case of use of "kløyvd infinitiv" it is an e-infinitive verb, because it's got an apocope.)

     Hei det e på tide å drekk sæ foill no

     Oh, it's about time to get drunk now (literally "to drink yourself full now" )
