This template displays "a.k.a." (or another form depending on the parameters used) which, when hovered over, displays a tooltip giving the full form of the expression: "also known as". This has the benefit of being shorter for readers who know the meaning of the abbreviation, while still explaining the abbreviation to those who are not familiar with it.

Parameters

|aka=1 (optional)

Changes the displayed text to "aka". Overrides |AKA=.

|AKA=1 or |uc=1 (optional)

Changes the displayed text to "AKA". uc can be thought of as an abbreviation of "use capitals".
