Attested in local Medieval Latin documents as varcena, from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 159: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value qfa-sub-ibe is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF..[1] Cognate with Portuguese várzea and Portuguese vargem.
