  1. to where?; used to ask for clarifications or specification on to where something is moving
    – I morgon flyttar Tomas.
    Vart någonstans?
    – Till Göteborg.
    – Tomorrow Tomas moves.
    To where?
    – To Gothenburg.

Usage notes

If the phrase is used on its own, the någonstans is customarily added to make the question sound less harsh, but if it is part of a longer sentence it may be dropped.
