Borrowed from French cosmopolitisme, from New Latin cosmopolītismus, from Koine Greek κοσμοπολιτισμός (kosmopolitismós). With -и́зм (-ýzm) suffix. Compare Russian космополити́зм (kosmopolitízm), Belarusian касмапаліты́зм (kasmapalitýzm).
