- Second-person masculine singular vav-consecutive perfect (hence future tense) of לָקַח (lakákh).
- Tanach, Exodus 4:9, with translation of the King James Version:
- וְלָקַחְתָּ מִמֵּימֵי הַיְאֹר וְשָׁפַכְתָּ הַיַּבָּשָׁה
- v'lakakhtá mimemé hay'ór v'shafakhtá hayabashá
- that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land
