Etymology[edit]

From ᏏᏆ (siqua, pig, hog) + ᎤᏤᏣᏍᏗ (utsetsasdi, who grins). Replaced the old simplex ᏏᏆ (siqua), which shifted meaning to "pig, hog" following the Columbian exchange.
