[edit]Inherited from Sanskrit जम्बुद्वीप (jambudvīpa); equivalent to *𑀚𑀁𑀩𑀼 (*jaṃbu, “jambul”) + *𑀤𑀻𑀧 (*dīpa, “island”).[1] Compare Pali jambudīpa.
