This sense has been there since Dijan added it in 2007. It has been added by him to Persian, Urdu, Ottoman Turkish, Modern Turkish, Serbo-Croatian, probably just on good luck that the meanings are all shared. While this meaning is found in the Hans Wehr Arabic dictionary, I agree that this is unheard in Modern Standard Arabic at least in most regions, including it sounds strange for the Peninsula. This meaning could be present in some specific dialects, but then one might opt to add it under a dialect language header. Maybe closer to Turkish? Does Turkish fırsat has such a meaning, @Lambiam? I find no mention of it. I consider to remove the meaning from all the mentioned languages because Dijan has been reckless here. Fay Freak (talk) 16:51, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

The only meaning of fırsat that I know is “opportunity”: a favorable circumstance that presents itself. Major dictionaries, including that of the TDK – which can be considered the ultimate authority – agree. The “leisure” sense should definitely be removed from the Turkish entry; it is wrong.  --Lambiam 15:43, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
