From Arabic سَبْعَةَ عَشَرَ (sabʕata ʕašara). By surface analysis, sebat +‎ -ax. Compare Moroccan Arabic سبعتاش (sbaʕtāš), Egyptian Arabic سبعتاشر (sabaʕtāšar).
