Etymology[edit]
Inherited from Ancient Greek ὅλος (hólos, “whole, entire, complete”),[1] from Proto-Indo-European *solh₂wós from *solh₂- (“whole”). The adjective όλος (ólos, “whole, all”), also as pronoun when referring or replacing a noun.
