From Fenya criminal argot. Borrowed from Romani nyst and from Yiddish נישט (nisht). Now common in colloquial speech.

ништя́к (ništjákm inan (genitive ништя́ка, nominative plural ништя́ки, genitive plural ништя́ков)

  1. tasty (mostly sweet) food; cookie
  2. food that has been thrown away but is going to be eaten by someone else (mostly due to lack of money and not proper freeganism)
  3. something regarded as good and gotten for free
