An Iranian name consisting of Middle Persian drw(y)st' (drust, right; well, healthy) and the Middle Persian equivalent of Persian آمد (âmad, he/she/it came), thus meaning "he who came walking straight." Attested only once as the name of a 4th-century Armenian eunuch in the history attested to Faustus of Byzantium.
