Usage notes
[edit]- The grammar of this word is not consistent. Sometimes it is treated as singular, sometimes as plural; a regular plural אינטרסקסים (interséksim) does exist. When used as a modifier, it is sometimes treated as an adjective, sometimes as an attributive noun. As a result, the following can all be synonymous: אנשים אינטרסקס (anashím ínterseks), אנשי אינטרסקס (anshéi-ínterseks), אינטרסקס (ínterseks), אינטרסקסים (interséksim). Currently אנשים אינטרסקסים (anashím interséksim) does not seem to be attested, however.
