Etymology[edit]
From صوغوق (soğuk, “cold”) + ـلامق (-lamak, suffix forming infinitives from nouns or adjectives).

صوغوقلامق • (soğuklamak)
- (intransitive) to catch a cold, to contract a common cold
- (intransitive) to cool down, to become cooler or colder
