Usage notes[edit]

  • (old): This adjective is never applied to humans, being disrespectful if done so. Instead, the adjective ܩܲܫܝܼܫܵܐ (qašīšā) or ܣܵܒ݂ܵܐ (sāḇā) is used.
  • (old): For the sense of something having existed for a relatively long period of time, the adjective ܥܲܬܝܼܩܵܐ (ˁatīqā) is used instead.
