Bengali[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Derived from Sanskrit अकर्ता (akartā). Structurally, from Tatpuruṣa compound of অ- (o-) +‎ কর্তা (korta), or, Bengali prefixation অ- (o-) +‎ কর্তা (korta). Arguably, it may have come from Bahuvrīhi compound of অ- (o-) +‎ কর্তা (korta).
