From ი- (i-) +‎ ქთ- (kt-) +‎ -ენ (-en). Inherited from Proto-Kartvelian *ket- : kt- (“to turn”).

      When you give water, the wheel of the mill turns

   2. to go round and round, to return

      I always walk around sad

   3. to turn into

      წალენი ღალი შიჲალერი გილულუნ. ამა მემეთიში ყონა კელე ტიბა იქთენ დო ჭიტა ჭიტა გჲულუნ

      ǯaleni ğali şiyaleri gilulun. ama memetişi qona ǩele ťiba ikten do ç̌iťa ç̌iťa gyulun

      The stream below is gurgling. But on the side of Mehmet's field it turns into a ťiba and flows slowly.
