Etymology[edit]
Sino-Korean word from 晩秋 (“late autumn”). See also Japanese 晩秋 (banshū).

- Phonetic hangul: [만(ː)추]
- Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
