Glyph origin[edit]
The sitelen pona glyph is a dot below three lines angled toward it. The lines may be related to the emitters of kalama, pana, sona, and toki. There is similarity to heat-related symbols such as ♨ and the ISO hot surface hazard symbol.

From Georgian ცხელი (cxeli, “hot”).
