Named after Eugene C. Bingham who proposed its mathematical form.

Bingham plastic (plural Bingham plastics)

  1. A viscoplastic material that behaves like a rigid solid when under low stress, but flows like a viscous fluid when under high stress (for example, toothpaste or mayonnaise).
