Etymology[edit]
Named for the amount of bluegrass (grass of the Poa genus) that grows in the region.
Proper noun[edit]
- A geographic region in the U.S. state of Kentucky, making up the northern part of the state, roughly bounded by the cities of Frankfort, Paris, Richmond and Stanford.
