The IPA transcriptions of the Georgian words are almost all wrong. The most severe problem is that ი is transcribed as ɪ, rather than i. Another minor issue is the lack of tie bars on affricates. Neal.zupancic (talk) 10:52, 16 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

We have noticed inconsistencies as well. We have prepared a spreadsheet which performs the following mappings for sake of consistency
  • /i/ -> /ɪ/ (though we can go the other way around if you prefer)
  • /x/ -> /χ/ (ditto)
  • /ɣ/ -> /ʁ/ (ditto)

In all cases we choose the most frequent one in the existing data. If this is acceptable, is there a method to perform a bulk change? There are almost 4,000 affected words, which would take days to change manually. Kylebgorman (talk) 16:07, 15 April 2020 (UTC) (sorry wasn't logged in earlier, re-signing this)Reply
