Western Cham script[edit]

Western Cham script is proposed to Unicode by 2016. [1] It is different from already published (Eastern) Cham script [2]. See also comparison between them: [3] --Octahedron80 (talk) 04:38, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As of February of 2022, an updated Unicode proposal has been submitted. [4] The Cambodian Kan Imam San Islamic sect are the primary preservers of the living script, although its preeminent native academic and activist Leb Ke [5] has strongly argued that the script should not solely be associated with the Kan Imam San group but rather the larger Cham community, both historical and contemporary.
