Cuif

  1. A surname found mainly in the Champagne district of northern France and among families in other parts of France which originally lived there. It is considered to be a variant of the Irish name O'Keefe, brought to France by Irish exiles in the 16th and 17th Centuries who served as soldiers in the French army.
