"s" parameter for rhymes[edit]

Reconstructed IPA readings[edit]
It would be nice to have a boolean parameter that adds an asterisk to IPA representations of uncertain/reconstructed readings, perhaps rec=1 or aster=1. This need not be limited to reconstructed entries but can be used on entries where the written word is attested but the pronunciation is a guess, e.g. 𐀏𐀔 (ka-ma) and most other Mycenaean terms. Currently, the workarounds are not good, as demonstrated using {{IPAchar}}:
- /*kʰamā/ looks wrong because the asterisk is inside the slashes
- */kʰamā/ (
*{{IPAchar|/kʰamā/}}) has the asterisk disproportionate to the output of the template, which is in a different font at a larger text size
And attempting to put the asterisk inside the template but before the first slash results in an error in the edit summary: "invalid IPA characters (/)". (Same issue with square brackets, etc.) — 69.120.66.131 19:19, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
