Etymology[edit]

A transliteration of Bengali নোয়াখাইল্লা (noakhailla), a dialectal variant of নোয়াখালীয়া (nōẇakhaliẏa), from নোয়াখালী (nōẇakhali) +‎ -ইয়া (-iẏa).
