- A municipality of Telemark, Norway, which existed until 1964. Now part of Vinje herad.
- a village around the main church in this municipality, located on lake Totak
- (informal) a populated area stretching 4 miles (6-7 kilometers) from the church-area down to the south and south-east. The house of the administration of the former municipality was located there.
